  5. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT

  7.   Shareware is licensed commercial software which the authors make available
  8.   on a try-before-you-buy basis.  Users may evaluate a Shareware product for a
  9.   period usually between 30 and 90 days, by the end of which they must either
  10.   pay for the product (known as Registration) or stop using it.
  11.  
  12.   Copying of Shareware, subject to the above conditions, is not only allowed,
  13.   it is encouraged.  Pass copies on to interested friends and colleagues.
  14.   Shareware authors rely on the integrity of users to abide by the conditions
  15.   of the license, and register the product if they want to continue using it.
  16.   Many, like ARK ANGLES, also give added benefits to users who register.

  19. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

  21.   This program is Shareware, and may be freely copied and distributed subject
  22.   to the terms described in the VENDOR.TXT file.  The program may be tried out
  23.   for up to 60 days without charge, after which time users should register it
  24.   or cease to use it.

  26.   Note that Shareware does not mean Freeware or Public Domain.  This program
  27.   is licensed software, and copying or using it without paying for it, except
  28.   as provided above, is a breach of copyright.

  31. WHY REGISTER?
  32.  
  33.   As stated, the license for this product entitles you to try it out for up to
  34.   60 days.  Use of the unregistered product beyond that period is a breach of
  35.   copyright and is against the law.  But apart from the legal obligation,
  36.   there are many benefits to be gained from registering.  You will receive:

  38.    o  a copy of the latest version of the program, plus
  39.    o  additional advanced modules covering batch files, disk rescue etc, plus
  40.    o  bonus database and text editor programs to try out, plus
  41.    o  a cross referenced glossary of computer terms, plus
  42.    o  reviews of various types of utility software, plus
  43.    o  12 months support, plus
  44.    o  periodic news and upgrade information, plus
  45.    o  the satisfaction of supporting value software through Shareware.

  48. PRICING

  50.   Single Registration is A$29.95 or US$25.95, shipped anywhere in the world.
  51.   This gives a license for use of the program by one user or on one machine,
  52.   and entitles you to all the benefits listed above.  Special licensing
  53.   arrangements are available for schools or businesses or anywhere there are
  54.   multiple machines or users at the one site.

  56.   Significant updates are released regularly, and unregistered copies of the
  57.   latest version are available from ARK ANGLES for just a shipping charge
  58.   of $5 each, or from many good Shareware vendors.

  63. HOW TO REGISTER
  64.  
  65.   Nothing is simpler.  We accept cash (of course), cheques (but may wait for
  66.   them to clear if they are large amounts), credit cards (Bankcard, Visa or
  67.   Mastercard only), bank drafts or Postal/Money Orders.  Credit cards will
  68.   always be billed by us in $A so you get the latest and best exchange rate.
  69.   Although we prefer any cash or cheques or drafts etc to be in $A or $US, we
  70.   will accept them in any major currency - please calculate the equivalent
  71.   amount in your own currency from the published $US price.

  73.   There are five easy ways to register:

  75.   1. PHONE:  Get your credit card ready, and the details of your equipment as
  76.      listed in the ORDERFRM.TXT file.  Then call (047)588100 for Australian
  77.      customers or Intl+61-47-588100 for overseas customers, and leave your
  78.      ordering information with the operator or answering machine.

  80.   2. FAX:  If you have a fax card on your computer, then simply edit the file
  81.      ORDERFRM.TXT with all the necessary information, otherwise print it and
  82.      fill it in manually.  Make sure all your credit card info is there,
  83.      then fax it to (047)588638 for Australian customers or Intl+61-47-588638
  84.      for overseas customers.

  86.   3. POST:  Print ORDERFRM.TXT and fill it in, make sure your credit card info
  87.      is there, or include a cheque, draft or money order, and post the lot to
  88.      ARK ANGLES at 24 Alexander Ave, Hazelbrook NSW 2779, Australia.

  90.   4. COMPUSERVE:  Insert ORDERFRM.TXT into a note, fill it in with your credit
  91.      card information, and send it to CompuServe Id 100237,141.

  93.   5. VISIT:  If you're close by, print ORDERFRM.TXT and fill it in, then come
  94.      with cash, cheque or credit card to 24 Alexander Ave, Hazelbrook NSW.

  131. SOFTWARE LICENSE

  133.   This product is licensed, not sold.  It may be freely copied and distributed

  144.   related printed matter to be free of significant defects in materials and
  145.   workmanship, and that the program works largely in accordance with its
  146.   documentation.  This warranty is effective for three months from date of
  147.   registration, and is not transferrable.

  149.   No liability is accepted for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by
  150.   the use of this product.  No warranty is made that it is suitable for any
  151.   particular person or purpose.  If this product is useful to you then please
  152.   register it, otherwise don't use it and don't pay for it.

  155.   to either a refund of the registration paid, a replacement of the physical
  156.   disks and/or printed matter, or the provision of an upgrade to the latest
